Spray Cork Insulation Training | Become a Certified ECOPROCORK® Applicator

Upskill, Get Certified, and Add a Profitable Sustainable System to Your Trade

If you’re a plasterer, renderer, decorator, or general contractor, now’s the perfect time to add spray cork insulation to your skill set. The demand for eco-friendly, breathable render systems is growing fast — and the ECOPROCORK® Academy offers the UK’s leading Spray Cork Insulation Training Course, designed for professionals who want to deliver high-quality, sustainable insulation projects while expanding their business.

Why Choose to learn Spray Cork Insulation skills?

Spray cork render, also known as SLICS™ (Sprayed Layered Insulating Cork System), is a next-generation alternative to traditional render and synthetic coatings. It offers thermal insulation, acoustic performance, and flexible protection in one natural system.

Key benefits:

  • Improves thermal efficiency and comfort
  • Eliminates condensation and damp penetration
  • Breathable and vapour-open (prevents trapped moisture)
  • Category 2 fire resistance
  • Crack-resistant, elastic coating
  • Long-lasting colour and surface finish
  • Renewable, natural, and carbon-negative material

It’s ideal for domestic retrofits, heritage restorations, commercial façades, and new-build projects where performance and sustainability are priorities.

About the ECOPROCORK® SLICS™ System

The ECOPROCORK® SLICS™ System consists of CE-marked products, tested, and approved spray-applied cork render system that bonds directly to render, plaster, brick, or metal.

Integrated products include:

  • Decoproyec® Sprayed Cork (12kg tubs) – Elastic, breathable, waterproof sprayed cork coating for exterior façades and interior surfaces. Core material for the ECOPROCORK® SLICS™ system.
  • Decoproyec® Masilla (Trowelable Cork Filler) – Fine trowel-applied cork insulation layer used internally to raise the dew point, fix cold wall condensation, and eliminate black mould. Core material for the ECOPROCORK® TLICS™ system.
  • DECOUNION XL – Surface stabiliser and waterproofing primer used before all sprayed and trowelled cork systems. Ensures adhesion and substrate consolidation.
  • DECPROCAL (Lime & Cork Basecoat Render) – Breathable lime–cork basecoat for internal and external preparation. Used under Masilla for severe condensation, mould remediation, or uneven substrates.
  • Reinforcement Mesh – Fibreglass strengthening mesh used in basecoat layers for façades or movement-prone substrates.
  • DECOIMPER Polyurethane Membrane – A flexible, waterproof polyurethane membrane used to seal roofs, terraces, balconies, and high-moisture areas. Provides a continuous, elastic barrier that pairs effectively with sprayed cork for advanced waterproofing protection.

ECOPROCORK® is the exclusive UK distributor for all Decoproyec® products, providing full training, technical support, and the pathway to warranted work through our Approved Applicator status.
